Wikipedia: Vurpăr is a commune located in Sibiu County, Romania. In 2002, it had 2359 inhabitants, of whom 1298 Romanians, 1010 Roma, 50 Germans and 1 other. 2154 inhabitants were Romanian Orthodox, with most of the rest belonging to newer Protestant faiths (aside from 29 Lutherans).
