Wikipedia: Sándor Petőfi (1 January 1823 – most likely 31 July 1849), Hungarian poet and revolutionary, was the author of the Nemzeti dal, the poem said to have inspired the Hungarian Revolution of 1848, in which he played a key role. He is Hungary's national poet.
