Wikipedia: Messolonghi is a town of about 18,000 people (2001) in western Greece. The town is the capital of Aetolia-Acarnania and is also its second largest town. It is the seat of the municipality of Hiera Polis Mesolongiou (Sacred City of Messolonghi).
