Wikipedia: Gilgit-Baltistan is a territory in Northern Pakistan. The territory, which does not constitute a province of Pakistan, was formerly known as the Northern Areas . It is the northernmost political entity within the Pakistani-controlled part of the former princely state of Jammu and Kashmir.
