Wikipedia: Atatürk International Airport (formerly Yeşilköy International Airport) is the major international airport in Istanbul, Turkey. Located in Yeşilköy, on the European side of the city, it is 24 km (15 mi) west of the city centre. The airport is named in honor of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and the first president of the Republic of Turkey.
