Wikipedia: Severnaya Zemlya is an archipelago in the Russian high Arctic at around 79°29.79912′N 97°19.0137′E / 79.496652°N 97.316895°E / 79.496652; 97.316895. It is located off mainland Siberia's Taymyr Peninsula across the Vilkitsky Strait. This archipelago separates two marginal seas of the Arctic Ocean, the Kara Sea in the west and the Laptev Sea in the east.
