Wikipedia: The Mercury Mariner is a entry-level luxury compact crossover SUV that was introduced in 2005. It is a sibling of the Mazda Tribute and Ford Escape, although it is slightly more upmarket than the other two. Mechanically, it is identical to the Ford Escape (with the exception of not having a manual transmission).
