Wikipedia: Subte Line A Subte Line A is the oldest line of the Buenos Aires Metro. This historic line runs from Plaza de Mayo to Carabobo (inaugurated on 22 December 2008), and is scheduled to be extended towards San Pedrito station. Opened to the public on 1 December 1913, at a length of 7.13 km, Line A is the oldest underground line in South America and the Southern Hemisphere, and one of the world's oldest still functioning today.
