Wikipedia: National Liberation Army is a revolutionary, avowed Marxist guerrilla group that has been operating in several regions of Colombia since 1964. Their membership is estimated at around 1,500 guerrillas as of 2009, down from a peak of around 4,000 in 1999. The ELN is less known than the largest Colombian rebel group the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
