Wikipedia: Club Atlético River Plate, known also as River Plate or simply River, is an Argentine sports club best known for its football team, established in 1901. The club is based in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Núñez, and play at the Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti. River is the 9th football club in the All-Time (1.1.1991 - 31.12.2009) Club World Ranking and the 1st in America, according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
