Wikipedia: Naupactus or Nafpaktos, is the second largest town in the prefecture of Aetolia-Acarnania, Greece, situated on a bay on the north side of the straits of Lepanto. The harbour, one of the most scenic on the northern coast of the Corinthian Gulf, is accessible only to the smallest craft. The origin of Naupactus comes from the Greek words ναύς naus ship, boat and πηγνύειν pêgnuein, pêgnyein to fasten together, build.
