Wikipedia: The Norwegian Army (Norwegian: Hæren, established in 1628, is the branch of the Norwegian Armed Forces responsible for land-based military operations. It is the largest branch of the Norwegian armed forces. The modern Army has its roots in the post-WW2 rebuilding of Norway.
