Wikipedia: The 9000, Saab's first executive car, was released in 1985. It was replaced by the Saab 9-5 in the fall of 1997 for the 1998 model year. The 9000 was based on the Type Four chassis, a platform shared with the Fiat Croma, Lancia Thema and Alfa Romeo 164.
